Color pencil drawing
This drawing was channelled to me during a trip following the Good Red Road across the South West. The symbols in this drawing tie together many of the The Native American Nations that make up Turtle Island. The first symbol to come is the large pink Lotus/ Apache symbol in the top center of the drawing. This represents the entry point for Spirit to come in and bring wisdom to the Person who prays for that knowledge. The figure in the center represents the Universal stance of Prayer with arms upraised in gratitude and wonder at the Great Mystery and the answers that have come. On the figure’s coat there are various symbols. Symbols were used in a ceremonial way to adorn clothing, TeePees, and the rock faces where ceremony was held. The arms of the coat use symbols from the tribes of the North West. The base of the coat symbolizes the wave which has always been known to the people of Turtle Island as the energetic vibration or force that connects us all. To the right of the figure there is a pictograph drawing on the wall that is a representation of Hopi Prophecy Rock. The sky holds the mystery of the Animal Spirits and guides that help us on our journey; the Eagle is the messenger and helps us to see with a higher vision, the Buffalo reminds us of the abundance of the Earth and of gratitude, the dolphins are known as the people of the sea and remind us that the wave is always present in a physical form as we watch how dolphins swim and play.
